Accordingly, the sales price has been lowered to 298,000 yen―less than half the original price of 698,000 yen.

July 7, 2009	Minebea to Launch High Corrosion Resistant Miniature Bearings "Giga Protection® Series" Minebea Co., Ltd. will introduce its high corrosion resistant miniature bearings called "Giga Protection® series" in the middle of July this year. Compared with stainless steel used in ordinary bearings, this series of bearings improves the resistance to rust and corrosion by 20 times or more (over 500 hours at salt spray testing).

Jan.23, 2009	Launching of World's Smallest Ball Bearings with Ultra-small Outer Diameter of 1.5 mm Minebea Co., Ltd. has succeeded in the commercialization of ultra-small ball bearings that are 1.5 mm in outer diameter and 0.65 mm in thickness, making them the smallest in the world. These ball bearings have the same pressed-steel ball bearing cage structure as normal miniature ball bearings and will be mass-produced. Sales will be launched shortly.
