Closing of the Investigation by the Competition Commission of
Singapore concerning Violation of Competition Law
As Minebea Co., Ltd. ("Minebea") has publicly disclosed, the Competition Commission of Singapore ("CCS") conducted the on-site investigation against NMB Singapore Ltd., Minebea's overseas consolidated subsidiary located in Singapore, in relation to the trading of small-sized ball bearings and other products, and then we have fully cooperated with the investigation by CCS. We hereby notify that, we received a notice, dated May 4, 2016, from CCS stating that it will be closing its investigation without making any decision regarding violation of competition law.
Neither Minebea nor NMB Singapore Ltd. is subject to any punishment by CCS including payment order of a fine for violation of competition law.
We will continue to strengthen our compliance system including the observance of competition law both within Japan and abroad.
