Announcement of 8th Minebea Cup ASAMA Highland Curling Classic 2015
Minebea Co., Ltd. ("Minebea") has been supporting Minebea Cup ASAMA Highland Curling Classic for years and the 8th Minebea Cup is scheduled to be held from Saturday, October 10, 2015 through Monday, October 12, 2015 at the Curling Hall Miyota (Miyota-machi, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano)
Minebea has been providing support since 2007 to a non-profit organization (NPO) called ASAMA Highland Sports Club, which manages the Curling Hall Miyota. This time the 8th Minebea Cup, a curling tour supported by Minebea, will be incorporated into the World Curling Tour Development ("WCT-D") where curling teams compete to gain points for a participation in the World Curing Tour ("WCT"), an international curling competition.
12 (twelve) curling teams get together in Miyota-machi from all over Japan to compete intensely for the participation in the WCT. Minebea Cup ASAMA Highland Curling Classic 2015 will be the final competition for the WCT-D in Japan in 2015. In addition, all games of this exciting tour are scheduled to be broadcast live on YouTube.
Minebea is committed to continuing to contribute to the amateur sports promotion and revitalization of local communities through the ongoing support for the Curling Hall Miyota.
