-- Introducing Sensor-Integrated Bed* Co-Developed by NITORI and MinebeaMitsumi --

Pasona Group Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda City, Tokyo; Representative Director, Chairperson and CEO: Hirotaka Wakamoto; hereinafter "Pasona Group") is set to open the long-stay proactive wellness retreat facility "THE PASONA natureverse retreat" (Operated by Pasona Resort Inc.) on Awaji Island, Hyogo Prefecture, on Tuesday, June 23.
For the opening, the facility is introducing the sensor-integrated bed* co-developed by NITORI Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Sapporo-shi; Representative Director, Chairperson & President: Akio Nitori; hereinafter "NITORI") and MinebeaMitsumi Inc. "Proactive wellness retreat," envisioned by the Pasona Group, aims to extend healthy life expectancy by harmonizing the mind and body through three core pillars: Nutrition, Exercise, and Sleep. Based on this vision, the facility will be providing a comprehensive support system for long-term stays, ranging from housekeeping and dedicated mobility services (dedicated vehicles and transfers) to a medical support network in collaboration with Kobe University Hospital and an on-site clinic, proposing 'New Form of Villa Life' on Awaji Island—an environment to rejuvenate your mind and body without the burden of ownership.
The inception of this facility is rooted in "NATUREVERSE**"—the vision for the future presented by the Pasona Group at Expo 2025 Osaka, Kansai, Japan. At the Expo, Pasona Group exhibited a pavilion named PASON NATUREVERSE, displaying the vision of "NATUREVERSE," a worldview that realizes the holistic well-being of all people through three essential dimensions; physic health, mental health, and social health. In collaboration with MinebeaMitsumi, the pavilion exhibited the concept bed that demonstrates technology-enabled "future of sleep," personalized optimal sleep comfort. This exhibition drew the significant attention from visitors.
Utilizing core technology from the concept bed displayed at this "Future of Sleep" area, NITORI and MinebeaMitsumi have productized an electric bed that automatically adjusts sleep posture by detecting body movement during sleep. Continuous monitoring of Reference weight is also available. The bed has been on sales for general household since February 2026.
During visitor's stay, the facility will be offering a personalized comfortable sleep environment by introducing a sensor-integrated bed that adjusts sleep posture according to movement during sleep. The facility aims to serve as proactive wellness retreat that offers more than just a place to stay, enhancing holistic well-being and support the foundation of a healthy, vibrant lifestyle for every guest.
Pasona Group, NITORI, and MinebeaMitsumi are committed to integrating each of their expertise and technologies, contributing to realizing a wellbeing-centered society while supporting people's lives.

* The product serves as a household electric bed, not as a medical equipment. It is not intended for the diagnosis, treatment or prevention of any disease.

  • ** Truly enriched world envisioned by the Pasona Group—where humanity, nature, and technology coexist in harmony, and people are connected through a spirit of compassion.
