(Head office: Nagano Prefecture; Representative Director, Chairman CEO: Yoshihisa Kainuma; hereinafter "MinebeaMitsumi") is pleased to announce that its India / Feasibility Study on the Development of Supply Chains for Semiconductors and Related Module Components has been selected for the FY2024 Global South Future-Oriented Co-Creation Subsidy Program (Small-Scale Demonstration/Feasibility Studies) by Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry on August 1, 2025.
This study aims to examine the feasibility of developing supply chains for semiconductors and related module components, with the goal of providing insights for future commercialization in India.
With the world's largest population of over 1.4 billion people, India holds the potential for the long-term economic growth. Under the "Self-Reliant India (Atmanirbhar Bharat)" policy, India is actively promoting its manufacturing industry while also driving initiatives to attract investment. Based on the findings of this study, MinebeaMitsumi seeks to strengthen Japan-India collaboration in technology, human resources development and building a resilient supply chain.
