Announcement of the Completion of Acquisition of Mast Kunststoffe GmbH & Co. KG and Mast Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH by a European Subsidiary
MINEBEA MITSUMI Inc. (hereinafter "the Company") hereby announces that Precision Motors Deutsche Minebea GmbH, a European (German) subsidiary, completed on September 26 (German local time) the acquisition of Mast Kunststoffe GmbH & Co.KG (hereinafter "Mast KG"), which manufactures precision mold parts in Germany, and Mast Verwaltungsgesellschaft mbH (hereinafter "Mast mbH"), which is a management-service trust company.
Purpose of this Transaction and Future Operation Policy
The Company integrated business with U-Shin Ltd. this April, which became a wholly owned subsidiary in August, and has largely expanded its business field by adding automotive parts, industrial equipment, and housing equipment, etc. to its existing products. Our Group's overseas production ratio is approximately 90%, and we have expanded our mass production plants in Asia so far. Through the business integration with U-shin and the acquisition of Mast KG, our production in Europe has expanded to 19 plants in 10 countries, mainly in Germany, Slovakia and France.
Mast KG engages in the design and analysis of precision mold parts (gears, gearboxes, etc.), the design and manufacturing of molds, and the manufacturing and sale of parts mainly for automotive and industrial equipment. Through this acquisition, we will strengthen our vertically integrated production system for precision mold components in the Europe Region, from mold designing to machining and mass production, thereby realizing speedy local support and productivity improvement. By combining the molds and molding technology of Mast KG and ours, we will leverage the synergy of the entire group to further improve quality and productivity in Europe and Asia, where we have mass production plants.
