High-End Edge AI Device 'ITB-5111' Released,
Featuring Qualcomm Dragonwing™ IQ-8275 Processor

MITSUMI ELECTRIC CO., LTD. (hereinafter "Mitsumi Electric"), a member of the MinebeaMitsumi Group, is pleased to announce that it has developed the high-end edge AI device ITB-5111, equipped with the Qualcomm Dragonwing™ IQ-8275 processor. Mitsumi Electric will begin providing samples in December 2026, with commercial sales scheduled to commence in October 2027.
For over 10 years, Mitsumi Electric has fostered a deep technical and business collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. through the development of numerous ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) products in non-smartphone and non-mobile phone sectors.
Building on this long-standing track record and strong collaboration, Mitsumi Electric will play a leading role in driving the expansion of the edge AI computing market, which is poised for rapid, full-scale growth. As the first milestone of this initiative, we are launching the ITB-5111, a high-end edge AI device that redefines the conventional wisdom of edge AI by maximizing the potential of QualcommTechnologies' cutting-edge IoT solution, the Dragonwing IQ-8275.
The MinebeaMitsumi Group will combine its "Eight Spear" of core businesses—centered on ultra-precision machining and mass production technologies—with Qualcomm Technologies' cutting-edge semiconductor technology to support the adoption of edge AI across diverse industries, including robotics, infrastructure, factory automation (FA), and healthcare. With powerful AI performance of 40 TOPS, it can simultaneously process multiple high-resolution video streams locally. Since processing occurs on-device without relying on the cloud, it can detect the movement of people and objects in real time, enabling ultra-fast response times.

Inheriting Qualcomm Technologies' power-saving technologies honed in the mobile sector, the device is designed to deliver high performance processing while maintaining exceptionally low power consumption. It can be deployed in any environment and helps reduce operating costs.

It comes standard with the latest interfaces, including the next-generation wireless standard Wi-Fi 6E, two Gigabit Ethernet (GbE) ports, and USB 5Gbps. This enables high-capacity, high-speed communication.
