Minebea AccessSolutions Inc. donates "in-house grown strawberries to a children's cafeteria"

Minebea AccessSolutions Inc. donated strawberries grown by the company to "Fureai Shokudo," a children's cafeteria in Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture, on Saturday, March 11, 2023, and to "Omiya Kodomo Shokudo," a children's cafeteria on Saturday, March 18, 2023.

The company sympathizes with the efforts of the "Kodomo Shokudo" (Children's Cafeteria), which has become a place for multi-generational exchange in local communities nationwide, and has continued this donation activity in the hope that the strawberries it provides as foodstuffs will help people in the community to interact with each other.
The company conducts this donation activity every other week during the harvest period from December to May every year, and this season marks the ninth time.

These strawberries are grown using a corner of the company's Miyazaki Plant grounds, starting with a 16 m² greenhouse in 2018, followed by donations to children's cafeterias and other organizations in 2019; from 2021, approximately 1,000 strawberries are grown in a greenhouse of approximately 100 m² for the purpose of expanding contribution activities to the local community, among others.
The harvest per season is 317 kg (1,174 packs of general packs), and we have donated about 20 times to 15 facilities and organizations.

We continue to cultivate under the "Special Cultivated Agricultural Products" standard set by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan.
(Specially cultivated agricultural products: agricultural products in which the nitrogen content derived from chemical fertilizers and pesticides to be reduced (e.g., synthetic chemical pesticides) are reduced by 50% or more compared to the conventional cultivation standards in the cultivation area (Miyazaki Prefecture).

The MinebeaMitsumi Group will continue to build close relationships with local communities and become a welcoming company through these social contribution activities.
