Tateshina Municipal Junior High School, Nagano Pref. Students Visit Karuizawa Plant
The Minebea Karuizawa Plant held a factory tour for 68 first-year students from Tateshina Municipal Junior High School in Kitasaku District, Nagano Pref. The tour, which was part of the students' social studies curriculum, is intended to provide students with opportunities that are not usually given to them in the classroom, such as visiting factories to see how industrial goods are manufactured and meeting people working there, thereby deepening their understanding of what is taught in the classroom.
Participants in the tour got the chance to see the main plant after a brief overview about the company and its CSR activities. Able to hold actual ball bearings in their hands during the tour, the students were surprised at how easily and smoothly they rotated.
Minebea will continue to support the local community with such activities in the future.
