Fifth Biannual Meeting with Representatives of Miyota Town, Nagano Prefecture

This May 2015, the Minebea Karuizawa plant hosted its fifth biannual meeting with representatives of Miyota Town, Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture, where the company is headquartered. Held twice annually, the meeting is designed to facilitate open dialog with local community members as a means of building mutual trust. Four visitors, including Yuji Moteki, the mayor of Miyota Town, turned out to attend this fifth meeting of its kind where the mayor asserted his aspiration to create a business friendly community.

The meeting provided an opportunity for fruitful discussions that touched on everything from alleviating rush hour traffic congestion to implementing LED lights, making good use of public relations publications issued by Minebea and local municipalities, as well as working together in the event of a disaster.

Minebea looks forward to continuing its dialog with local community members in the future.
