Let's look at the performance for the Semiconductor & Electronics segment.
Net sales increased by 6.7% year on year, totaling 527.6 billion yen in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2025. This is due to the incorporation of Minebea Power Semiconductor Device (formerly Hitachi Power Semiconductor Device), which became a consolidated subsidiary on May 2, 2024, in semiconductors, despite lower sales in mechanical components.
Operating income came to 22.0 billion yen, and the operating margin was 4.2%. These figures represent a 38.1% year-on-year decrease in operating income and a 3.0 percentage points year-on-year decrease in the operating margin.
One-time expenses of approximately 3.0 billion yen are included. This is due to the processing of PPAs at Minebea Power Semiconductor Device and Socionext, as well as expenses for withdrawal from the camera actuator business in China.
For the fiscal year ending March 31, 2026, we will continue to work on improving the profitability of our sub-core businesses: optical devices and mechanical components.
