Karuizawa Plant Welcomes Students from Miyota Junior High School in Miyota Town, Nagano for Hands-on Work Experience Program

The MinebeaMitsumi Karuizawa Plant welcomed four second-year students from Miyota Junior High School in Miyota Town in Kitasaku District, Nagano where the plant is located. Part of the school's career education curriculum, the work experience program gives students the opportunity to experience the difficulties and importance of working and to learn something that can't be learned in school through interactions with working people.

The students spent two days engaged in hands-on learning about things such as assembly or inspection work under the supervision of employees in the Ball Bearing Business Unit.

When the work experience program ended, the students received a completion certificate and reflected on "I learned a lot from how a bearing is made". They were also "surprised to know that there is a local firm that does this kind of work".

MinebeaMitsumi looks forward to supporting the local community through similar activities in the future.
