MinebeaMitsumi Develops Electric Vacuum Pump Powered by Its Brushless DC Motor
MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (Head office: Nagano Prefecture; Representative Director, Chairman CEO: Yoshihisa Kainuma; hereinafter "MinebeaMitsumi") hereby announces that it has newly developed an electric vacuum pump utilizing its in-house manufactured brushless DC motor.
The primary feature of this newly developed electric vacuum pump is its compact size paired with highly efficient suction capability. Despite its lightweight and compact design—weighing approximately 70 g and measuring φ32 mm × 55 mm (excluding projections), which is smaller than a single D-size battery—it achieves a flow rate of 3.0 L/min and a vacuum pressure of -60 kPa, demonstrating high efficiency superior to competitors(*1). Furthermore, the three-cylinder diaphragm minimizes pulsation, offering exceptional quietness. With these features. It is optimal for robots and medical equipment that require low noise so that operating sound does not cause stress when working near people, as well as for semiconductor production equipment that demands powerful suction within a limited footprint.
By adopting MinebeaMitsumi's BKL series
brushless DC motors, which have a long track record of production within the company, this product meets market demands by offering longer life, higher efficiency, and greater miniaturization compared to conventional electric vacuum pumps. Samples are available upon request. Going forward, MinebeaMitsumi will continue development while considering modifications to winding specifications and other features to satisfy customer requirements.
