MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (Head Office: Nagano Prefecture, Representative Director, Chairman CEO: Yoshihisa Kainuma, hereinafter MinebeaMitsumi) will release the "SALIOT D6 Series," a smart lighting device which can control beautiful light using the dedicated smartphone application "SALIOT," from January 2024. (Dimming type will be released in January and Toning type in March.)
MinebeaMitsumi has been developing the SALIOT (Smart Adjustable Light for the Internet Of Things) series of IoT lighting fixtures, and delivered them to many facilities such as art galleries and museums, hotels, and showrooms. The orientation, brightness, light color, and light distribution angle can be controlled from a distance with a smartphone or tablet, which has revolutionized light adjustment installations.
This time, the downlight of SALIOT was dramatically renewed and will go on sale as the "SALIOT D6 Series." The zero-based review of the size, design, and circuit design of the product contributed to a significant reduction in size and weight, and the diameter and weight of the light are reduced by half compared to the conventional model*. In addition, in order to create a beautiful atmosphere, we have incorporated a unique optical design that pursues the beauty of the irradiated surface, and at the same time, we have built our products with a focus on the quality of light, such as reducing the flare of the light compared to the conventional model*. Since the color rendering index is based on Ra92 or higher, it can be used in spaces with high ceilings of around 6 meters, such as museums, hotels, and car dealerships, while maintaining the same high color reproducibility as the SALIOT S Series spotlights.
* Color Rendering: describes how a light source makes the color of an object appear to a human eye/Ra: shows the Color Rendering Index. The color will appear more natural if the CRI number is close to 100.
With the release of the D6 series, in addition the SALIOT S series already released, we expect the market for automatically movable lighting fixtures to expand significantly. Efficient adjustment can be made by using the memory function, which memorizes the state of the luminaire. Furthermore, the separately sold timer BRIDGE BOX can be used to change the lighting automatically according to the schedule.

* The light source life of LED lighting fixtures is approximately 40,000 hours.
The life of the light source assumes the total lighting time until it will no longer light up or the total lighting time until total luminous flux drops to 70% of the initial lighting time, whichever is shorter.
