Impact of disputed land issues in Thailand and Cambodia
Regarding media reports on the situation in the border region between the Kingdom of Thailand and the Kingdom of Cambodia, but as of today, we have confirmed that there has been no impact on the economic activities of the MinebeaMitsumi Group, as announced on June 25.
As of now, there has been no confirmed impact on the manufacturing, logistics, shipping, and such at MinebeaMitsumi Group's 10 plants in the Kingdom of Thailand and its Phnom Penh plant in the Kingdom of Cambodia, and the operations are continuing as usual.
In addition, this week, Yoshihisa Kainuma, Representative Director, Chairman CEO of MinebeaMitsumi, held on-site meetings with senior government officials from each country in the Kingdom of Cambodia on the 22nd and the Kingdom of Thailand on the 23rd.
At the meeting, he expressed concern about the impact on economic activities (including manufacturing and logistics) caused by the current border issues between the two countries, and requested for a prompt and peaceful resolution. After sincerely listening to this request, the senior officials of the two governments confirmed their basic policy that the impact on economic activities in each country should be minimal. We will continue to closely monitor the situation, take appropriate measures as necessary, and consult with the countries concerned.
Should there be any developments deemed to have a material impact on our performance, necessary disclosures will be made promptly.
