MinebeaMitsumi Group to Exhibit at "JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2023"

MinebeaMitsumi Inc. (Registered Head Office: Nagano, Representative Director, Chairman CEO: Yoshihisa Kainuma, hereinafter referred to as "MinebeaMitsumi") will exhibit at " JAPAN MOBILITY SHOW 2023 (formerly Tokyo Motor Show)", which will open to the public at Tokyo Big Sight (Koto Ward, Tokyo) from October 28 (Saturday) until November 5 (Sunday) under the theme "Discover a future you can't wait to navigate."

Japan Mobility Show 2023 will be held for the first time in four years since Tokyo Motor Show 2019, where MinebeaMitsumi Group's U-Shin was exhibited. As the world's only "INTEGRATION^* manufacturer of precision parts," at Japan Mobility Show 2023, MinebeaMitsumi will introduce various new technologies and products that will contribute to mobility in a new era.

MinebeaMitsumi implemented business integrations with Tier 1 automotive parts manufacturer U-Shin in April 2019, and with Minebea AccessSolutions in January 2023. We anticipate wide-ranging synergies, such as expanding our presence in the automotive industry, expanding and strengthening technological synergies with the existing MinebeaMitsumi product lineup, and cross-utilizing sales functions and global production bases around the world. At Japan Mobility Show, we will explain a wide range of products and solutions from the MinebeaMitsumi Group so that visitors can experience our more robust and diverse automotive solutions. These include new products developed in businesses that will be further strengthened through the above business integrations, a lineup of products related to cooling measures that are attracting increasing attention due to the electrification and automation of vehicles, and products related to mobility beyond four-wheel vehicles.

At the exhibition, using actual vehicles, visitors will be able to experience the latest technologies that will contribute to the future of next-generation mobility. For example, there will be digital key systems utilizing UWB (ultra-wideband radio) technology, flash handles, which are next-generation door handles with enhanced design and aerodynamic performance, a door opening and closing system with an E-latch that automatically releases doors and pulls them from a half-latched state to a fully latched state, a power rear gate system that automatically opens and closes the rear gate using gesture sensors or StepGate as input signals, and a door system that combines E-latches with fixed E-handles with built-in touch sensors that can be opened and closed with light operation.

MinebeaMitsumi Group will exhibit a mock-up of a two-wheeled vehicle for the first time since the business integration with Minebea AccessSolutions, allowing visitors to see the various components that make up two-wheeled vehicles.

Also on display will be VR resolvers, which are rotation angle sensors for the driving motors that power EVs and have attracted attention in recent years, and products related to eVTOLs and E-bikes, which are rapidly expanding their markets.

MinebeaMitsumi Group will continue to expand the scale of its access products business and improve its position in the automotive components market as rapidly as possible, while striving to research, develop, manufacture, and sell products that can contribute to the further growth of the Japanese automotive and precision parts industries.

Kids' Corner

At the MinebeaMitsumi booth, we will have a kids' corner for children to enjoy the world of vehicles. There will be a game called "Paper Racer - Aim for 1st Place!" Children will be free to draw pictures of vehicles on special paper that will then become three-dimensional and race on the course. They can enjoy the game while experiencing how the performance of the car changes depending on the color and shape of their drawn vehicles.
