Announcement of 10th MinebeaMitsumi Cup ASAMA Highland Curling Classic 2018
MinebeaMitsumi Inc. ("MinebeaMitsumi") has been supporting MinebeaMitsumi Cup ASAMA Highland Curling Classic for years and the 10th MinebeaMitsumi Cup is scheduled to be held from Saturday, October 7, 2017 through Monday, October 9, 2017 at the Curling Hall Miyota (Miyota-machi, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano).
MinebeaMitsumi has been providing support since 2007 to a non-profit organization (NPO) called ASAMA Highland Sports Club, which manages the Curling Hall Miyota. Since 2015, MinebeaMitsumi Cup, co-sponsored by MinebeaMitsumi, has been incorporated into the World Curling Tour Development ("WCT-D") where curling teams compete to gain points for a participation in the World Curing Tour ("WCT"), an international curling competition.
In 2017, WCT-D is held again in Japan. 12 strong domestic curling teams get together at Miyota-machi, including the teams with the participants of the Japan Championship and the victory in various open tournaments and they will have heated competitions.
In addition, all games of this exciting tour are scheduled to be broadcast live on YouTube.
MinebeaMitsumi Cup celebrated its 10th anniversary this year. MinebeaMitsumi is committed to continuing to contribute to the amateur sports promotion and revitalization of local communities through the ongoing support for the Curling Hall Miyota.
