[Japan] Keep Brown Bears Away! Chitose Clean-up Campaign

The MITSUMI Chitose Business Division is located in a lush, green area surrounded by forests and parks, abundantly blessed by nature. On Thursday, June 25, 2026, members of the Environment Promotion Committee and employee volunteers gathered to clean up around the plant!

The theme of this event was "Creating an Environment that Does Not Attract Bears". Brown bears have recently been a hot topic in the news, but they are actually lured into towns by the scent of discarded snack wrappers and empty juice cans.

By thoroughly picking up abandoned litter, we helped prevent encounters by ensuring bears realize "there's nothing delicious to eat here" and head back to the mountains. Thanks to these efforts, local residents and rare forest animals alike can spend their time with peace of mind!

The Chitose Business Division will continue to deliver heart-warming activities that are gentle to both the local community and nature.
