[Japan] Showing Our Gratitude: A Joint Cleanup of Lake Nakaumi and Lake Shinji!

Lake Nakaumi and Lake Shinji, which span across Tottori and Shimane prefectures, are designated as internationally important wetlands under the Ramsar Convention. To protect this beautiful environment, five coastal cities joined forces for a shoreline cleanup initiative.

In Yonago City, the cleanup took place at Minatoyama Park. On the day of the event, an incredible 1,405 volunteers gathered from local businesses, schools, and community organizations! Among them were members of our company's rowing club, who regularly use Lake Nakaumi for their practices and wanted to show their appreciation.

The weather was perfectly overcast—ideal for outdoor activity. In the pleasantly warm, slightly sweaty weather, everyone worked together, breaking a refreshing sweat to make their precious home shoreline sparkling clean.
