Students from National Institute of Technology, Miyakonojo College Revisits Minebea AccessSolutions Thai
Following on from last year, Minebea AccessSolutions Thai, Thailand-based production site of MinebeaMitsumi Group welcomed 12 students from National Institute of Technology, Miyakonojo College.
This plant tour was organized at the request of the college, whose educational philosophy is 'to foster creative and practical engineers with excellent character who can contribute to the global community.' To address the lack of overseas experience among graduates, the college has become committed to providing their mechanical engineering students with overseas training in order to help them gain the global perspective and background necessary for professional engineers.
On the day of the event, the company briefed them on the business overview and guided their production line. Students were able to understand firsthand the difference from Japanese plant and behind the scenes of the global manufacturing.
After the plant visit, one shared a enthusiastic comment, "Since I'd like to work overseas, today was a great opportunity to compare factories in Japan and overseas." Another commented, "I was able to feel their improvement efforts firsthand since the production efficiency and capacity seemed to have enhanced from our last visit." It was a rewarding moment hear such comments.
The company hopes this experiene will contributed to the growth of the future-leaders, and is committed to actively continuing such acitvities.
