Karuizawa Plant Welcomes Students from Miyota Junior High School in Miyota Town, Nagano for Hands-on Work Experience Program

The MinebeaMitsumi Karuizawa Plant welcomed four second-year students from Miyota Junior High School in Miyota Town in Kitasaku District, Nagano where the plant is located. Part of the school's career education curriculum, the work experience program gives students the opportunity to experience the difficulties and importance of working and to think about their future occupation and career through interactions with various people.

The students spent two days engaged in hands-on learning about things such as assembly, and inspection work under the supervision of employees in the Ball Bearing Business Unit.

When the work experience program ended, the students reflected on "how challenging it could be to make actual bearings, even though their structure was simple". They were also "glad to learn about the importance of measuring devices and inspections".

A thank-you letter was also received from the students. In it, they wrote that they would apply their hands-on learning experience in subsequent school activities and in thinking about their futures.

MinebeaMitsumi looks forward to supporting the local community through similar activities in the future.
