ISO 26000 study meeting held

Minebea held a study meeting on ISO 26000, an international standard on social responsibility (CSR), for CSR officers in Japan. 10 officers participated in the study meeting, which was conducted via teleconference linking the Tokyo head office, and the Karuizawa, Fujisawa, Hamamatsu, and Yonago plants.

During the meeting, Mr. Takehiko Mizukami from Cre-en Inc. gave an overview of ISO 26000 and explained the results of the analysis carried out in 2014.

Moving forward, Minebea will analyze the situation at overseas offices based on ISO 26000, and identify and verify the issues that require action.

* ISO 26000 : An international standard for social responsibility. The goal for organizations is not to receive certification, but rather to use the standard to effectively implement social responsibility.
