Minebea Clears Medevac Helipad for Local Fire Dept.
Minebea's Karuizawa Plant in the town of Miyota, Kitasaku-gun, Nagano Prefecture signed a memorandum of understanding with the local fire department, giving it free access to the plant's helipad for emergency medical purposes. The deal follows on the heels of the Agreement on Heliport Use in Times of Disaster the plant made with the town of Miyota in October 2013.
A medavac is a helicopter outfitted with emergency medical equipment. It carries emergency medical personnel to the scene of an emergency and enables them to provide critical care while transporting the sick or injured to a medical care facility.
Minebea is committed to doing everything it can to help local fire departments be prepared for any emergency.
