Yonago Plant Employees Clean Up Mt. Daisen

A group of Minebea Yonago Plant employees and their families, twenty six in all, recently picked up trash along the entire length of the trail leading to the top of the 1,729-meter tall Mt. Daisen in Tottori Prefecture. In addition to this clean-up initiative, they also participated in the One Tree, One Rock campaign aimed at restoring the mountain summit. The climbers each carried a small rock in their backpacks that they deposited at the mountain’s peak before making their way down.

The twenty six climbers began their ascent sometime after nine in the morning and returned to the base of the mountain at three thirty that afternoon. Despite the brisk winds trailing behind Typhoon Vongfong, it was a clear and unseasonably mild day in which everyone worked up a good sweat.

Minebea looks forward to taking part in similar community and environmental activities in the near future.
