Miyota Women's Civic Association Visits Karuizawa Plant
Minebea's Karuizawa Plant welcomed the Miyota Women's Civic Association for a tour of the facilities. Like the plant, the women's group calls the town of Miyota, in Nagano Prefecture's Kitasaku-gun, home. The Miyota Women's Civic Association sponsors educational tours and workshops to raise interest and involvement in the community with an eye to making Miyota a better place to live.
The association contacted the plant after learning about Minebea's CSR and environmental activities via the corporate website. They asked the Karuizawa Plant staff if they could meet with them and also see the factory in operation. Participants in the tour got the chance to see the main plant after a brief overview about the company and its CSR activities.
Minebea looks forward to playing an active role in the local community through similar activities in the future.
