2nd Biannual Meeting Held with Representatives of Miyota Town, Nagano Prefecture
At its Karuizawa Plant in November 2013, Minebea Co., Ltd. held its 2nd biannual meeting with representatives of Miyota Town, Kitasaku District, Nagano Prefecture, where Minebea's headquarters is located. A previous meeting was held in May 2013, making this the second round-table this year. The meetings, scheduled twice annually, have been created to facilitate discussion with local community members as a means of building mutual trust. Discussion at the day's meeting focused on increasing traffic safety and alleviating congestion around the plant by potentially converting the traffic signal along the school route to a time-lag signal, and on how to proceed with the use of locally grown vegetables in the employee cafeteria. Minebea looks forward to continuing dialog with local community members in the future.
