Personnel relocation and structural reorganization
The Board of Directors met on Friday, May 8, 2009 and concluded personnel relocation and structural reorganization as described below.
These matters will be officially finalized at another Board of Directors meeting scheduled to be held after the completion of both the annual shareholders' general meeting and shareholders' general meeting on Friday, June 26, 2009.

2. Structural reorganization (date of announcement: June 1, 2009)
In July, 2005, we established the current organization system where a number of "business units" are managed by the responsible "headquarters." A business unit, consisting of personnel from the Manufacturing Division and the Sales Division to handle an individual business project, functions as an organization allocated vertically while the associated "headquarters" provides lateral support for the business unit.
Although we have achieved the initial objectives of the structural reform which established these business units (vertically allocated organizations) and headquarters (laterally allocated organizations) that have been working together in harmony, we are aware that new structural reorganization is now essential to facilitate further business extension and improved results under the current harsh economic conditions.
We will establish "business headquarters" according to the individual product group to replace the current business units and headquarters that are under direct control of the Representative Director. We will do so in the quest to organically integrate the functions of individual business units and headquarters to maximize business efficiency while clarifying the profit and loss of each product and sharing various technologies adopted for each product to utilize them for all other group products. Each business headquarters contain business units similar to the current business units. Any functions of the current headquarters, such as manufacturing, engineering, sales and material procurement, will be transferred to the business headquarters as long as such functions are effective in boosting the business efficiency of the business headquarters.
We will establish a total of five business headquarters: "Machined Components Business Headquarters", "Rotary Components Business Headquarters", "Electronic Devices and Components Business Headquarters", "HDD Motor Business Headquarters" and "Special Devices Business Headquarters".
In order to provide support for the individual business headquarters and business units, the following headquarters will also undergo structural reorganization: Manufacturing Headquarters will change to the "Production Support Division", the Engineering Headquarters to the "Engineering Support Division" and the Sales Headquarters to the "Sales Division". The material and logistics operations currently undertaken by the Operations Headquarters will be handled by the "Procurement and Logistics Division".
Furthermore, in order to demonstrate the Minebea Group's comprehensive strength to the fullest extent, which is underpinned by its vertically and laterally located organizations, as well as to facilitate the efficient implementation of the group's business strategies, we will appoint a Vice President, Chief Executive Officer who will supervise all of the Business Headquarters and supporting divisions (Koichi Dosho, currently serving as a Senior Managing Executive Officer, will assume the post on June 26, 2009).
In addition, we will also reorganize the current headquarters responsible for office management by dividing them into the "Operations and Planning Division", the "Finance and Administration Division" and the "CSR Promotion Division".
